Aryna Sabalenka wins the 2024 Australian Open

Aryna Sabalenka repeats the previous year’s success, establishing herself as a star of world women’s tennis.

The 2024 Australian Open final between Aryna Sabalenka vs Qinwen Zheng pitted the favourite, seeded no. 2 against the unpredictable n. seed. 12 Qinwen Zheng.

In 1.16 h, the Belarusian Sabalenka made the roles of the Final clear immediately, controlling the Chinese Zheng who tried in every way to stay in the match. A final emotion extends the series of match points but, the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup belongs to Aryna.

In the opening set an initial break, 3-0, puts Sabalenka ahead holding it until the conclusion. Break points 1/4 for Aryna, 0/3 for Qinwen. Total points respectively, 30 and 21.

Second set, two break points obtained and realized allow the Belarusian to manage although the Chinese tried to make a play to go to the deciding set.

Aryna Sabalenka confirms herself as the winning woman with greater potential, natural talent, physical and technical, although she is emotional even if on the court she would seem the opposite. Qinwen Zheng is a reality, the possible woman of tennis in China. She must maintain continuity, performance and results.
