The atmosphere is along fresh and pink locations. Sea, basketball ground, surfboards and a beach are the places in which models Loli-Bahia and Anna Ewers were directed in the photographic and video campaign by the duo Inez & Vinoodh.
Los Angeles, Paramount Studios, were the sites during the Cruise’s presentation last May and now California, Venice Beach are the new one. Everything revolves around disco time, before or after an evening of dancing.
Inside the shots a glamour atmosphere when the light becomes dark and when the dark is ready for the sun. The double C logo is in chic boards and special basketball balls. Inside the shots: a jacket in iridescent pale yellow tweed sits above a long skirt in pink and white stripes, while mini shorts and a bustier in pastel tweed are revealed beneath a large coat falling nonchalantly off the shoulders. The shimmer of a jacket swathed in gold sequins and hemmed in pink responds to the shine of leather trousers and a little black satin dress studded with stars. Moreover, lamé top is worn under the emblematic two-tone cardigan.
Roller skates are a black and white leitmotif throughout the video sequences. As stated by Inez & Vinoodh, “the Cruise collection campaign combines the two worlds of Los Angeles: the old-world glamour of the Hollywood movies we love and the health-conscious colourful sporty vibe of Venice Beach”. The two models, “Loli and Anna embody both worlds dressed in the high style evening focused looks of Virginie’s collection while on the basketball courts and surf spots along the Venice boardwalk”.
Nothing is out of place and everything is on point. A mix of fitness time, warm atmospheres, open air and preciousness in a typical West Coast lifestyle. Welcome to the Cruise 2023-24 collection new campaign.
