Chanel Le defile Croisiere Shenzhen

by Alain Chivilò

Le defile Croisiere is on in China, Shenzhen.

From Los Angeles, the premiere, to the second in Shenzhen. A very virtual bridge that connects, but does not bind for now, two economic, military and social superpowers. Maison Chanel presents itself in two high-performance and high-visibility markets. In China, it has created several events that are impossible to schedule in a Fashion Week with many appointements planned. Not only celebrities but, the main protagonists to make the fashion market which then determine future programming.

A format already explored but, a possible trend to imitate, inspire and in a certain sense vary, change.

The spectators were many: leading figures and emerging talents of Chinese cinema, but not only, as Zhou Xun, Xin Zhilei, Wang Yibo, Zhang Zifeng, Liu Wen, Zhou Xun, Jing Boran, Liu Shishi, Ning Chang, William Chan, Whitney Peak, Caroline de Maigret, Marion Cotillard, Nile Rodgers and others.

The 2023-2024 Women’s Cruise collection starts from past atmospheres to make them contemporary. Different decades are interspersed, recalling habits and customs that become absolutely contemporary. Creative Director Virginie Viard, in her fourth year after the Karl Lagerfeld era, always has clear ideas on how to lead the Maison’s collections. Sporty echoes of roller skating and skateboarding, enveloping jackets and evening dresses, very casual bathrobes and pajamas for every day, rhinestone mini shorts, embroidered swimsuits, 1930s shoes or disco platform sandals. Geometric motifs, checks, colors from black to gold, to silver, until a vivid warm palette also with tones tending sunset. Extremely elegant clutches and bags that match clothes without being too eccentric. The Chanel designer skate will be a must have to desire, play but also keep as design.

A Chanel Cruise 2023-24 collection very Diva, which finds further light and life in Shenzhen.
