Dior and Otani

by Alain Chivilò

The collection is characterized by an icon, an image that provides exclusivity and distinction to the capsule collection designed by Kim Jones, Dior and the Japanese artist Otani.

In pure Rising Sun tradition, a green creature of an indefinite but undoubtedly cute typology, named Tanilla, represents the motif and driving and fun element for a line dedicated to men.

Inside the capsule: bomber, B33 High Top tennis shoes, T-shirt, sweaters, denim overshirt and an adaptation of the Dior logo put fun hooded sweatshirts and pouches with functional shoulder straps.

The Dior logo played between ballpoint pen marks appears on the forearm but also high on the back. The color is a shade of red. The Dior logo is also multiplied, becoming a play on geometry. The knitwear also has a pattern similar to a just-started darning.

With the Dior capsule by Kim Jones and Otani Workshop (workshop as singular sculptor), Men find a fun collection, less busy in content and formality, with an above all youthful imprint.
