“I have a garden which is attached to the studio where my wild animals are, so they can come in while I work” said Harumi Klossowska de Rola artist.

First solo exhibition in the United States, third at the R+V Gallery. In the New York location, fifteen bronze sculptures by the Swiss artist Harumi Klossowska de Rola are on display between October and November 2023.

The theme of the works starts from nature as the title of the exhibition, Hayawan (animal kingdom in Arabic). Wildlife, in some representatives, is depicted in a visual and spiritual way, recalling ancient symbols and beliefs. From her house near the woods in Switzerland, owls and wolves for example, are animals from her land placed in a personal and artistic key.

Harumi Klossowska de Rola was born in 1973 in Geneva, and today lives and works in Switzerland. She began designing haute joaillerie in 2008, and has since created pieces for luxury brands including Boucheron, Chopard, Valentino and Goossens.
