From South Korea, songwriter, singer and dancer Jimin (Park Ji-min) is the anchorman for the men’s collection conceived by creative director Kim Jones.
Jimin is a contemporary friend of the Maison in synergy with the aim of the collection. From the Buffalo fashion house of the Scottish designer Ray Petri, within the Dior tradition, the clothes are summarized in pairs from masculine to feminine, from the new look to the new way and from tradition to subversion.
The campaign is made by the British photographer Alasdair McLellan who placed the South Korean singer in poses designed to highlight the image of the refined artist with the suits and matchings inside the collection.
Also by McLellan, other shots are dedicated to the Spring 2024 collection, maintaining the same concept and representative plan for the campaign, through selected models.
About the Spring 2024 by designer Kim Jones, as noted: stylistic constructions becomes more flexible and fluid creating comfort and practicality, trying to give different interpretations and ways of reading to the modern tailoring. In this way, from the workwear lexicon, the jackets are crafted in cotton and silk canvas. They are sublimated with brooches evoking ceremonial insignia, interwoven with iconic Dior emblems. Knitwear, alternately preppy or soft. is worked into twisted turtleneck sweaters or cashmere knits with removable bandanas. The house’s symbol are revisited, such the “Dior” signature, deployed on sleeveless sweaters, or the diamond CD, modified into a rhomboid motif, a captivating timelessness that also punctuates the hit the road backpack.
The Men’s Dior for the next Spring 2024 season will move in shapes, silhouettes, expressiveness and freedom.
