If you’re on the professional circuit, Tennis excites you. If you leave due to injury, lack of motivation, or end of career, it will always continue, grinding everything out.
In recent years, having watched on tv many tennis tournaments between women and men, I have been able to witness the technical and results improvements in the Estonian athlete and tennis player.
Now, next to 2024 tennis season, a tribute.
During 2023 the new status for her is: Anett Kontaveit is an Estonian former professional tennis player.
Before Wimbledon 2023, in June, the farewell to tennis due to a lumbar disc degeneration in Kontaveit’s back.
The Estonian tennis player has achieved excellent results, second in the world’s ranking in June 2022 and 24 consecutive victories on hard between 2021, 22. Seven tournaments won, a Final at the WTA Finals and QF at the Australian Open 2020. There was still much that could be written.
Probably an aggressive style of play, maintaining consistently high levels of play, in a tennis that never stops, have accelerated a physical weakness under pressure.
Now, Anett Kontaveit can spend a lot of time with her boyfriend (present in Rome, May 2023) and her best friends, living in a house with windows. She will also decide something else for herself. Stay strong.
