The Doubles day.

First Match for the Semifinals, due rain.

Siegemund/Zvonareva won going to the Semifinals at the deciding set, down 0-1, vs Gauff/Pegula: 3/6, 6/4, 10/8 in 1.37 H. Strong battle but, the duo in better shape, in this end of the season, walked again.

First Semifinal: Dabrowski/Routliffe vs Melichar- Martinez/ Perez.

Melichar-Martinez/Perez won at the deciding set in 1.37 H vs Dabrowski/Routliffe: 6/1, (1) 6/7, 10/6. Another tough match with the duo in excellent form here in Mexico.

Nicole Melichar- Martinez / Ellen Perez are the first Finalists.

Second Semifinal: Siegemund/Zvonareva vs Sanders/Mertens.

Second match in a day for the German/Russian duo vs the perhaps rested women from Australia and Belgium.

Another hard match. At the deciding set in 1.27 H, Siegemund/Zvonareva 3/6, 6/3, 10/5 vs Sanders/Mertens.

Laura Siegemund / Vera Zvonareva are the second Finalists.

Singles, Second Semifinal, due rain: Aryna Sabalenka vs Iga Swiatek

Continuing the Opening set, first break by Swiatek in this second day of the match. Clinical Iga with 1/2 break points converted, meanwhile Aryna 0/2. In the end, just a break to win the set. In the second, after 1-1 another tough break point made by Swiatek in a long time game. Following, 4-2 / 5-2 and game, set, match. More time of play in Aryna’s serve than Iga, as data displayed.

In 1.36 H, Iga Swiatek walked to the Final, 6/3, 6/2 vs Aryna Sabalenka.

Let’s get ready to ruble for Swiatek. Like a boxer, very impressive: continuos work on the hips. Everywhere in the court, constant pressure. A faster spider web, along her shots, better than Medvedev. Welcome to the new era of Terminators: TI, Terminator Iga is present. Aryna Sabalenka tried but, unforced errors and mainly the impossibility to contrast the constant attacks by the Polish. Frustration arrived in Aryna. It was necessary to increase the intensity of play, if any. Anyway, next season from January new challanges for the Belarus.

Finals on day 9, Monday: Jessica Pegula vs Iga Swiatek and Nicole Melichar- Martinez / Ellen Perez vs Laura Siegemund / Vera Zvonareva
